Powerdown outgrows its humble beginnings and moves to a larger premises at Cardiff NSW.
1990
Supershock launched, the first shock absorber designed specifically for Australian roads and conditions.
1995
Powerdown established their distribution network in New Zealand.
2003
After construction of the new premises at Beresfield NSW, the largest shock absorber dynometer in Australia was installed for research and development.
2004
Powerdown winner of the State and National 2004 Telstra and Australian Government Small Business of the Year award.
2013
Continuing to grow, the warehouse space was doubled to accommodate increasing demand of product and the new manufacturing area.
2020
Filpro Automotive, a supplier of automotive aftermarket products, acquired a manufacturer of ride control components, Powerdown Australia, on February 18th, 2020. Under the acquisition agreement, Powerdown will continue to manufacture and/or distribute all current Powerdown branded OEM and aftermarket products for trucks, heavy commercial trailers, buses and light commercial vehicles; and RAW 4Ă—4 branded products for four-wheel drive vehicles.
2022
Powerdown launched in the South African commercial vehicle market by G.U.D. Holdings.
